Full Job Description

Main purpose of the job:

To provide a resilient, reliable and cost effective Information & Communication Technology (ICT) service and solutions for the EMEA region.


Main duties/responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the EMEA ICT Business Solutions team

  • Provide customer focussed and professional ICT support for EMEA

  • Drive the optimal use of ICT across the region at very low cost.

  • Ensure operations/ ICT systems and equipment are consistent and compliant with local laws and regulations and with Eisai company standards and guidelines.

  • Ensure ICT projects are performed in a professional and compliant manner.

  • Develop the core ICT services and solutions as needed to support and complement the on-going development of EMEA.

  • Support the implementation of new Eisai offices throughout the region as and when required.

  • Represent EMEA at global Eisai ICT meetings.

  • Manage external support and service providers and their contracts.

  • Work with EMEA management to develop and implement a regional ICT strategy.

  • Ensure the compliant and cost effective procurement of ICT equipment, software and services.

  • Implement global ICT projects

  • Manage the ICT budget and recharges.

  • Provide updates as required regionally and globally.

  • Any other task required related to ICT



Qualifications, education and languages required:

  • Degree qualified (no specific subject required) or equivalent
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • A second language is beneficial; ideally French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian or Spanish.


Experience required:

  • Experience of ICT management (people and project) in a pharmaceutical environment.

  • Knowledge and experience of Computer System Validation processes.

  • Experience of managing technical environments and/ or projects.

  • Experience of managing system development projects utilising both in-house and third party development staff and consultants.

  • Experience of working under a global ICT environment
